Individual Counseling
Individual counseling is a collaborative process between you and the therapist. My goal is to provide an open, supportive and confidential environment for you to address the issues that are affecting you. Together, our goal is to facilitate change and improve quality of life.
Therapy can help the client confront barriers that interfere with emotional and mental well-being. Ultimately, the outcome of therapy aims to increase positive feelings, improve self-esteem, and deepen self-awareness.
Individual counseling isn’t always about “fixing” a problem or “getting rid of” the concerning issues, sometimes it is about building tools that help one better navigate parts of life that are unavoidable and difficult. My goal is to help avoid pathologizing human struggles and, in turn, normalize them as well as build strategies to better navigate them.
As an Integrative therapist, I support the following issues:

Grief and Loss

“Misty has been not only a therapist to me, but a true mentor and resource throughout many phases in my life. She always knows when to provide support and encouragement, but also when to ask the right (and sometimes challenging) questions that help me find the answers I’m looking for.”
“Working with Misty has been invaluable in my healing journey. She has helped me zoom out and see perspectives I didn’t think were possible. I recommend Misty to more friends than any other service provider in my circle.”
